27, 1981

Johnson Sr.

Brenda
Johnson.
1982
•Within a
year I was
walking and
potty
trained.
1983
•I appeared
to be
somewhat
strange and
weird as a
child. My
parents say i
would eat
and pull my
hair out.
1984
•I started
school at
Head Start
and I
remember
singing" I
Believe The
Children Are
Our Future.
1985
•I began attending
Carver Magnet
School. While in
Pre K i enjoyed
nifty nutrition and
nap time.
1986
•My older sister
walked me to
school for my first
day of
kindergarden at
Carver Magnet.
1987
•Carver Magnet
built a new school
just block away.
The entire school
walked to the new
location.
•Hundreds of red
ballons were
released on field
day.
1988
•Received A& B
Honor Roll and
perfect attendance
awards.
1989
•I remember being
bullied by boys but
only to find out
they had a secret
crush on me.
1990
•Became a
Cheerleader at
Carver Magnet.
•Made all A's Honor
Roll.
1991
•Awarded All A's
Honor Roll.
1992
•Elected class Vice
President.
•Captain of
Cheerleading
Team.
1993
•Became assistant
choir director,
Greater Charity
Ministries.
1994
•My grandfather
died this year. He
was the backbone
of the family.
When he died my
family was
devastated.
1995
•I was awarded
Best Dancer award.
•I loved to perform
jazz, ballet, and hip
hop.
1996
•Attended my first
dance, 9th grade
prom.
1997
•Started my first job
at Church's
Chicken. I stayed
there a few months
and started a new
job at Olympia Inc.
•I was fundraising
for special
Olympics.
1998
•I had two many
credits in high
school. So i got into
work study
program, and by
10:00 am i was out
of school and at
work.
•I worked for
Community Bakery
thru high school.
1999
•I graduated from
Little Rock Central
High School.
2000
•Joined The Navy
right after high
school.
•My job in the Navy
was a fireman.
2001
•I was stationed in
Great Lakes, IL . I
received order to
go to San Diego but
I got out of the
Navy before the
war.
2002
•Moved In my first
apartment.
2003
•Started working at
Cingular Wirless as
a Technical Support
specialist.
2004
•I left Cingular and
began working for
Alltel Wireless.
•I survived an 18
wheeler accident
that nearly took my
life.
2005
•My mother was
diagnoised with
cancer.
•She died 6 months
later.
•Began college at
UALR.
2006
•Went to Memphis,
TN to try out for
American Idol.
Slept on the ground
for an entire night.
Never tried out due
to being to crowed
and tired.
2007
•Awarded Highest
Sales Award and 8
Customer Service
Awards
2008
•Left school for a
while.
•I was depressed
and not dealing
with my mothers
death.
2009
•Verizon bought out
Alltel.
•Lots of people lost
their jobs.
2010
•My brother was
released and finally
home from prison.
2011
•Meet the love of
my life.
•Turned 30 and had
the best birthday
party ever.
•Walked the 5k in
honor of my mom
and aunt.
•Began Working For
Utility Billing.
2012
•Spent New Years with my
fiance and my family.
•Enrolled back in school at
UALR.
The three major events in my life were my 30th birthday, my moms death and meeting the love of my life. I never thought I would live to see 30th and still be told I don’t look 30. I had so much fun at my birthday party. It was super packed. I went home with 500.00 bucks that night. I really felt loved.
Even tho I felt loved then it still would never compare to the love that my mother had for me and the
love she showed me. Her death is still hard to deal with but I just try and remember her and the good times we shared. I wish she was her to meet her soon to be son in law but I know she is smiling down on me and can see that I am happy and truly in love with him. Even tho she wont be at my wedding physically I know spiritually she will be there.
